Michael Maroney, MBA
President & CEO
Michael Maroney is a visionary leader in community and economic development with over four decades of transformative work in North and South Omaha. As President and CEO of the Omaha Economic Development Corporation (OEDC), he has led impactful initiatives in affordable housing, commercial revitalization, and small business enterprise—developing over 500 units of affordable housing, expanding retail and commercial infrastructure, and launching job-creating ventures such as a telemarketing firm and a community-based grocery store. Prior to his role at OEDC, Michael co-founded and led the New Community Development Corporation, where he developed more than 250 affordable housing units and launched Omaha’s first micro-business training and lending program, supporting over 800 entrepreneurs and contributing to the creation or retention of more than 200 jobs. His background also includes leadership roles at United Methodist Community Centers, the predecessor of Charles Drew Health Center, and ownership of two small businesses. Michael holds an MBA and a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, serves on several boards, and remains deeply committed to empowering historically underserved communities and fostering long-term, sustainable growth.

Michael Robinson, M.S.
Director of Operations
Michael Robinson is a seasoned executive and community development leader with over 20 years of experience in non-profits, philanthropy, affordable housing, and economic development. As the current Director of Operations at the Omaha Economic Development Corporation (OEDC), he oversees strategic initiatives that support inclusive growth, small business development, and neighborhood revitalization. Previously serving as the Executive Director/CEO of the Business Ethics Alliance of Omaha, Michael brings discipline, vision, and a deep-rooted passion for equity to every role. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a master’s degree in Urban Studies with a concentration in Community and Economic Development, and a Business Ethics certification from Duke University. Active on several boards and known for his ability to unite stakeholders across sectors, Michael is deeply committed to creating opportunities for historically underserved communities and driving systems-level change.

Tracey Newby
Controller
Tracey is a highly accomplished financial and business analyst with over two decades of experience in finance, operations, and property management. She currently serves as a the Controller for OEDC, where she has excelled in budgeting, forecasting, and business process improvement. A proud graduate of Creighton University with a degree in Business and Finance, she brings expertise in strategic planning, contract negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration, along with technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle GL, Hyperion EssBase, and various financial reporting tools. Beyond her professional achievements, Tracey is deeply committed to community service and leadership, having served as Co-Chair of the African-American Diversity Council at CHI Health and maintaining a long-standing dedication to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she has received multiple honors for her leadership and youth mentorship. A results-driven and solutions-oriented professional, Tracey is passionate about driving organizational success while empowering others through mentorship, collaboration, and innovative thinking.

Administrative Assistant
​​Geneva Lopez has over four decades of experience and a proven track record of supporting executive leadership, managing office operations, and ensuring efficient workflow in fast-paced environments. With over a decade of administrative experience, she excels in calendar coordination, meeting preparation, document management, and professional communication. Geneva is known for her proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and ability to maintain composure while handling multiple priorities.

Receptionist 
Antoinette Russ is a dedicated receptionist with over two decades of experience serving both business and community-focused organizations. As part of the Omaha Economic Development Corporation, she provides essential organizational support, overseeing clerical operations, managing records, and maintaining internal office systems and procedures.
