Michael co-founded and was named CEO of New Community Development Corporation in February 1992.  The organization provides housing options for Omaha’s neglected communities and business development services for early stage and seasoned entrepreneurs.  New Community is one of the leaders in affordable housing development in Omaha serving both North and South Omaha where there are considerable concentrations of African Americans, Latinos and low and moderate income residents.  New Community recently completed developing its tenth multi-family housing development culminating in over 250 units.  The organization was also designated by the city to develop single family home ownership projects in three different neighborhoods totaling over 70 homes.  To date, 48 homes have been built and sold and another 15 are under constructions.  In order to accomplish these endeavors, Michael has been able to attract between $35 to $40 million dollars from a variety of funding partners.
